Pediatrician Accepting Cigna in Johns Creek, GA
We Accept Cigna HMO and PPO
Mindful Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine accepts both Cigna HMO and Cigna PPO plans for children and teens across Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Suwanee, Cumming, and Roswell.
HMO vs PPO — what it means for you
Cigna HMO requires a designated primary care physician. You'll need to name Dr. Priya Thomas as your child's PCP through myCigna.com, the myCigna app, or member services. Referrals may be required for specialist care.
Cigna PPO and Open Access Plus (OAP) don't require a PCP designation or referrals, though naming a pediatrician still helps with care coordination.
Cigna Connect is Cigna's ACA marketplace network in Georgia and is typically narrower than employer networks.

Cigna + Oscar small-business plans use a distinct network.
What's typically covered
Most Cigna plans cover pediatric preventive services at 100%:
-
Well-child visits per the AAP schedule
-
Routine childhood immunizations
-
Developmental and behavioral screening
-
Vision and hearing screening
-
Newborn visits

Sick visits and procedures apply your copay, coinsurance, or deductible.
Worth knowing: Cigna distinguishes preventive from diagnostic services fairly strictly. If a concern is addressed during a well visit — a rash, a behavioral question, a medication adjustment — that portion may be billed as a separate diagnostic service. This is normal and compliant billing across all payers, but Cigna families notice it more often. We'll always tell you if we're addressing something beyond the preventive visit.
Newborns
Add your baby to your Cigna policy within 30 days of birth. Coverage is typically retroactive to birth once enrolled. We see newborns 1–2 days after hospital discharge
